Arrive in Dehradun by early morning and board your vehicle to drive Raithal village (Dayara Bugyal Trek starting point) takes 7 to 8 hours to reach as the distance is 185 kilometres from Dehradun. During this journey, you pass through Mussoorie Bypass road, offering scenic views and seeing the massive Tehri Dam Lake. After this, you reach Uttarkashi, and it takes another one and a half hours to reach Raithal. Raithal is a small and scenic hamlet situated in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. It is the base camp of the Dayara Bugyal trek as the trek starts from Raithal. On reaching Raithal, you check-in to a homestay for the day. After fresh and up, you can spend the day exploring the place.
We will start this day early. After a wholesome breakfast, we will start the trek towards Gui, which is 4 kilometres approx. From Raithal and it takes 3-4 hours to reach there. Gui is situated at an altitude of 10,000 feet approx. The trek to Gui is short and easy with gradually ascending height. The trail goes through the thick forest of Rhododendron and Oak trees and opens up Gui meadows. After reaching there, have a hot lunch at the campsite and rest. In the evening, we will go for a short acclimatization walk, which is 10-15 minutes from there. Enjoy the sunset and the spectacular views of Srikhand Mahadev Ji, Kalang and Draupadi Ka Danda. Wake up to the prettiest campsite and get ready for the ultimate Bugyal of the Uttarakhand. After having a hearty breakfast, we will start the trek to Dayara Bugyal. During the winters, the trails get knee-deep covered in snow. The Dayara Bugyal is located 4 kilometres from Gui, but the shepherd huts of Dayara Bugyal are located 1 kilometre before the actual Bugyal. Some skiing lovers also camp at this site near the shepherd huts. It takes 3-4 hours to reach there. Explore the lengths and breadths of the most beautiful Bugyal. You will see how widespread this Bugyal is from different angles and all-around grazing grounds for sheep and battles in summer. You get to see a 360° view of the Himalayas from Dayara Bugyal. After clicking photos, you further climb to Dayara Bugyal Top by afternoon, which is another package of surprise. Spend the day exploring the Bugyal and admiring the panoramic view of the Himalayas. Descend back to the Gui campsite by late afternoon. Overnight stay in tents there.
It's the last day of Dayara Bugyal Trek; wake up early to catch the beautiful sunrise in the mountains and a few pictures of it. After the wholesome breakfast, we start descending to Raithal village. The trek to Raithal is retracing the same route which we took to come up. Descend is easy, and it will take about 2 hours to reach Raithal. After reaching there, we collect our left luggage from the guesthouse, and our vehicle will drop you at Dehradun. The journey will take 6-7 hours to reach the drop point Dehradun railway station. So, it's advisable to make your further bookings late in the evening or keep a margin of at least 2-3 hours.

Uttarkashi is approximately 145 kilometres from Dehradun, and there are several modes of transportation to reach there. The road is the most convenient way to travel from Dehradun to Uttarkashi. There are regular buses and shared taxis available from Dehradun to Uttarkashi. You can also hire a private cab or self-drive. The road to Uttarkashi will go through Mussoorie and Chinyalisour. The drive takes 5-6 hours, and the route passes through scenic valleys, forests, and hill stations. Uttarkashi is a remote location, and the roads can be challenging, especially during the monsoon season. Bus and sharing cab leave early morning, so it is advisable to plan the journey accordingly.
Note: - The bus journey from Delhi to Dehradun takes 6 to 7 hrs for 250 KM. It is advisable to book your tickets around 09-10 pm in the night to reach the early morning for your trek to avoid delays.
Dehradun is well-connected to major cities in India by train, and several trains are available from different parts of the country. The railway station is located at the heart of the town, which is 3 km away from ISBT. Cabs, autos and sharing rickshaws are easily accessible for exploring all parts of the city. You can take a taxi or a bus from the Bus stand and Railway station to Uttarkashi.
The nearest airport to Uttarkashi is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is located approximately 168 kilometres away. Domestic flights connect Dehradun with Delhi, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. Once you reach the airport, you can take prepaid taxis outside the airport, which can be transferred to the central city of Dehradun and then continue the journey to Uttarkashi by road.

You can carry medicines prescribed by your doctor, if any. Although we have our First Aid kit with us on each trek, we suggest you carry some painkillers, Volini spray, kneecap, Electrals/ORS, etc.
Generally, people prefer Diamox for easy acclimatization, but we strictly avoid this kind of acclimatization. We encourage our trekkers to a natural acclimatization process. Hence you shouldn't be on the Diamox course before the start of the trek.
Drinking Alcohol or any other intoxication during the trek is strictly prohibited. Alcohol or this type of stuff dehydrates our body and at high altitudes, dehydration becomes a big cause of Altitude Sickness.
We have expert leaders who are experienced in First Aid on all our events but still, there might be situations under which an emergency evacuation might be needed. If this kind of situation arises, we are committed to making a safe evacuation for you in an emergency. Also, we will make all necessary & adequate arrangements for your evacuation to the nearest road head or hospital. The participant himself would pay any additional expenses incurred during the process. Our company will not be liable to pay for these expenses.
The maximum group size of our treks by any region is 15 participants. We focus on individual attention and the safety of our trekkers.
Yes, we do have our minimum group size as we require just 5 persons to depart. We had never cancelled or combined with other trekking companies any of our group of 5 persons from departure dates.
The toilet tents will be set up on each campsite. Inside the toilet tent, one pit hole would be digged with the help of a shovel, a heap of mud and one shovel kept beside the pit (it is used to spread the mud after you have done your business). Use it in Indian style.
