    Nag Tibba trek or the trek to the serpents is a wonderful weekend trek for adventure lovers who want a break from the boring routine. It showcases the best serenity and exciting trekking route through jungles and meadows. Nag Tibba is located at the height of 9915 feet (3022 meters) in the Pantwari region, a perfect weekend getaway from city life, especially for those people who get fewer holidays. Nag Tibba is the highest peak in its range situated in Garhwal Himalayas. The trail has rich flora and fauna, which will amaze you and the Goat village is the main attraction to the trekkers before reaching the top. The view from the top has its own charm; you will get the views of Bandarpoonch Peak, Swargarohini, Kedarnath Peak, Changbang Peak and the Doon valley.

    • During the trekking, the accommodation provides all-season camping tents on twin sharing basis with sub-zero temperature rating sleeping bags.
    • During the Camping, Hikers 360 provides cleaned sleeping bags with dry clean individual liners for hygiene.

    Basic Instructions

    • Do carry a valid ID proof and undertaking form at the reporting time.
    • Carry enough warm clothes, as per the trek weather. Also, bring waterproof trekking shoes.
    • Do not carry expensive valuables with you during the trek. Basecamp doesn't have locker facilities and takes no responsibility for them.
    • Keep your luggage minimum; the less you carry, the more you hassle-free.
    • Smoking, drinking, and all other intoxications are strictly prohibited during the trek. If the trek leader finds anything, the leader reserves all the right to cancel your trip.
    • The network connectivity is bad in the mountains; tell your guardians or friends beforehand.
    • Treat the kitchen and support staff with respect and speak to them kindly.
    • On the trek, decisions taken by the trek leader are final.
    • Don't use earphones during the trek; this might hinder your audibility.
    • Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations.
    • Keep plastic rappers in a trash pouch during the trek and dump them in the campsite’s garbage bag.
    • The trek takes place through an eco-friendly zone; don't encourage littering at the local sites or campsites.

    How to Reach

    How to Reach Pantwari by Road    

    Pantwari is a small village located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. It is well connected by roads to different cities and towns of Uttarakhand. The road to Pantwari will go through Mussoorie and Nainbagh. You can take a bus or shared cab or hire a taxi from Dehradun, Mussoorie or other nearby towns. The distance between Dehradun and Pantwari village is approximately 95 km, and it takes around 03-04 hours to reach by road, depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you reach Pantwari, you can start your trek after a short break.

    Note: - The bus journey from Delhi to Dehradun takes 6 to 7 hrs for 250 KM. It is advisable to book your tickets around 10-11 pm in the night to reach the early morning for your trek to avoid delays.

     

    How to Reach Pantwari by Train

    The nearest railway station to Pantwari is Dehradun, which is well-connected to all major cities of the country like New Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Ajmer, Mumbai, Lucknow, Varanasi, Patna, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai circuitously. The railway station is located at the heart of the city, which is 3 km away from ISBT. Pantwari Village is approximately 95 km away from Dehradun. You can hire a taxi from the Railway Station or take a bus to Pantwari Village.

     

     How to Reach Pantwari by Air

    The nearest airport to Pantwari Village is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, approximately 125 km away. Domestic flights connect Dehradun with Delhi, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. Once you reach the airport, you can take prepaid taxis outside the airport for Dehradun and then continue the journey to Pantwari by road.

    The major airlines operating in this airport are IndiGo, Jet Airways, Spice Jet and Air India.
