Nag Tibba trek or the trek to the serpents is a wonderful weekend trek for adventure lovers who want a break from the boring routine. It showcases the best serenity and exciting trekking route through jungles and meadows. Nag Tibba is located at the height of 9915 feet (3022 meters) in the Pantwari region, a perfect weekend getaway from city life, especially for those people who get fewer holidays. Nag Tibba is the highest peak in its range situated in Garhwal Himalayas. The trail has rich flora and fauna, which will amaze you and the Goat village is the main attraction to the trekkers before reaching the top. The view from the top has its own charm; you will get the views of Bandarpoonch Peak, Swargarohini, Kedarnath Peak, Changbang Peak and the Doon valley.

Report early morning at pickup point and directly head off on a car drive to the Pantwari village, which is approximately a 95 km (4-5 hours) drive from Dehradun. You can book transport from us, which will pick you up from Dehradun Railway Station in the morning at 6:00 AM. Bolero cab costs 4,000 and will be shared by 6-7 trekkers, and Tempo Traveller costs 6,000 and will be shared by 11-12 trekkers. The transport charge is not included in the trek cost. It is to be split amongst trekkers and pay the driver directly. Otherwise, you can easily reach Pantwari by road transport from Dehradun, Haridwar and Rishikesh. After a 2-3 hour drive, we will take a short halt at Nainbagh for breakfast. After Nainbagh, Pantwari is hardly a 1-hour drive.
After reaching Pantwari, you will start your trek for the day, which is approx. 4 kilometers and the climb is mostly moderate till halfway, after which the trail enters into a thick rhododendron forest. Before entering the forest, you will have your lunch there near your last water point for the campsite. After walking for 2 hours through the thick forest, the trail opens up into small meadows, which is our first campsite. We will camp at near Nag Mandir, and even you can visit that temple there and explore that place with its amazing views of snowcapped mountains.

We will start our trek early for the summit. After having a light breakfast, it will head towards the Nag Tibba top; the distance from Camp I to Nag Tibba Top is 4 kilometers and the climb is steep ascend but easily negotiable. It will not take more than 3 hours. After reaching the top, you can have a 360-degree view of all the prominent Himalayas peaks. Peaks visible from here are Bandarpoonch, Black Peak, Swargarohini, and many more. After the short halt of photography and enjoying the view, we will return back to Camp I and have a hot lunch there. Return back to Pantwari following the same route and drive back to Dehradun till late evening.

Pantwari is a small village located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. It is well connected by roads to different cities and towns of Uttarakhand. The road to Pantwari will go through Mussoorie and Nainbagh. You can take a bus or shared cab or hire a taxi from Dehradun, Mussoorie or other nearby towns. The distance between Dehradun and Pantwari village is approximately 95 km, and it takes around 03-04 hours to reach by road, depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you reach Pantwari, you can start your trek after a short break.
Note: - The bus journey from Delhi to Dehradun takes 6 to 7 hrs for 250 KM. It is advisable to book your tickets around 10-11 pm in the night to reach the early morning for your trek to avoid delays.
The nearest railway station to Pantwari is Dehradun, which is well-connected to all major cities of the country like New Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Ajmer, Mumbai, Lucknow, Varanasi, Patna, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai circuitously. The railway station is located at the heart of the city, which is 3 km away from ISBT. Pantwari Village is approximately 95 km away from Dehradun. You can hire a taxi from the Railway Station or take a bus to Pantwari Village.
The nearest airport to Pantwari Village is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, approximately 125 km away. Domestic flights connect Dehradun with Delhi, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. Once you reach the airport, you can take prepaid taxis outside the airport for Dehradun and then continue the journey to Pantwari by road.

We expect you to carry your personal backpacks on your own, but for any reason you are not able to carry your bag, then you can opt for offloading option by informing us 7 days before the trek so that we can make suitable arrangements for you and offloading in between the trip is not an option.

You can carry medicines prescribed by your doctor, if any. Although we have our First Aid kit with us on each trek, we suggest you carry some painkillers, Volini spray, kneecap, Electrals/ORS, etc.
Generally, people prefer Diamox for easy acclimatization, but we strictly avoid this kind of acclimatization. We encourage our trekkers to a natural acclimatization process. Hence you shouldn't be on the Diamox course before the start of the trek.
Drinking Alcohol or any other intoxication during the trek is strictly prohibited. Alcohol or this type of stuff dehydrates our body and at high altitudes, dehydration becomes a big cause of Altitude Sickness.
We have expert leaders who are experienced in First Aid on all our events but still, there might be situations under which an emergency evacuation might be needed. If this kind of situation arises, we are committed to making a safe evacuation for you in an emergency. Also, we will make all necessary & adequate arrangements for your evacuation to the nearest road head or hospital. The participant himself would pay any additional expenses incurred during the process. Our company will not be liable to pay for these expenses.
The maximum group size of our treks by any region is 15 participants. We focus on individual attention and the safety of our trekkers.
Yes, we do have our minimum group size as we require just 4 persons to depart. We had never cancelled or combined with other trekking companies any of our group of 4 persons from departure dates.
The toilet tents will be set up on each campsite. Inside the toilet tent, one pit hole would be digged with the help of a shovel, a heap of mud and one shovel kept beside the pit (it is used to spread the mud after you have done your business). Use it in Indian style.
It is not mandatory, but they expect a little token of goodwill gesture and appreciation from you. As a group, you can collect money and distribute it to the local staff by yourself.
